Collaboration with Disability:IN
I am thrilled to announce my collaboration with Disability:IN to help raise awareness about the organization’s vital mission and the importance of disability inclusion in Europe. The collaboration with Disability:IN is all about increasing the visibility of disability-owned businesses and connecting them with organizations looking to diversify their supply chains.
What is Disability:IN?
Disability:IN is a leading nonprofit organization that empowers businesses to achieve disability inclusion and equality. Disability:IN partners with over 550 leading companies to globally advance disability inclusion in the workplace and throughout the supply chain.
Why this matters?
In 2023, 27% of the EU population over the age of 16 had some form of disability. Supporting organizations like Disability:IN is crucial to promoting a fairer society where everyone can succeed as an employee or entrepreneur.
How to get involved?
Becoming part of Disability:IN is easy!
Do you have a disability – a physical and/or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities? Businesses which are >51% owned and controlled by one or more person with a visible or non-visible disability can register here.
Find out if you are eligible. For an overview of disabilities open the word doc ”List of Disabilites” which can be found in this link; https://disabilityin.org/what-we-do/supplier-inclusion/get-certified/
Why would I get certified?
Becoming certified by Disability:IN includes your company in the Supplier Diversity Sourcing HUB, which is the database that links you with corporate and government purchasers seeking diverse suppliers. Disability:IN also facilitates networking, business matchmaking, and alliances with organizations promoting diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups. Furthermore, certification with Disability:IN helps raise awareness and understanding in communities, serving as a visible symbol of diversity and reminding society of the value of inclusivity. With everything that is happening right now, this is not the time to be silent.
I’m looking very much forward to collaborating with Philip DeVliegher and the whole Supplier Inclusion team at Disability:IN on raising awareness for more inclusive sourcing practices.
Reach out if you have any questions!
