ESC & Sustainability

Eurovision Song Contest in Basel set new standards with their sustainability concept. Basel is going all out to make Eurovision as green and inclusive as possible. With free public transport included with an Eurovision ticket, reusable cups and plates, tons of recycling stations, and over 200 drinkable water fountains around the city, sustainability s definitely a priority.

The event is also super accessible and safe for everyone, with wheelchair access, all-gender toilets, and 24/7 support teams on site.

I can truly say the ESC in Basel is all about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and respected.

I’m proud to be part of this journey by helping out with sustainability surveys, gathering feedback from visitors from all over the world to make future events even more sustainable and inclusive.

I’ve spoken with people from Kazakhstan, Croatia, Belgium, Norway, Ukraine, Canada, Australia, and the US for the surveys – I had no idea Eurovision is so widely known and loved across so many countries especially outside Europe! 💞
