Inclusive Sourcing Summit in London – September 11/12 2025
Got back from two incredible days at the Inclusive Sourcing Summit in London hosted by MSDUK Social Enterprise UK Veteran Owned UK WEConnect International in Europe and OutBritain.
Both days greeted us with bright sunshine, followed by clouds, a burst of rain, and then clear skies once again. It felt like a perfect metaphor for business itself, moments of brightness, unexpected challenges, and renewed opportunities.
𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻, 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.
***Supplier inclusion is about expanding and increasing the pie and not about excluding anyone***
A hot topic right now…. Procurement & AI. My key take away from that session;
– Use AI as an assistant, not as a decision maker
– Take the 80/20 approach
– TRAIN HUMAN CAPABILITIES AS MUCH AS TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
As always, it was wonderful to reconnect with long-time friends who have been part of this journey for years, and equally exciting to meet new colleagues bringing fresh perspectives and energy.
💪 So encouraging to see that several companies are just beginning their inclusive sourcing journey.
Grateful for the enriching conversations and learnings. I feel proud to belong to this incredible community that, despite all challenges, is dedicated to creating a more inclusive world. 🌍✨
