DisAbility Confidence Day Switzerland 2025

Great momentum for disability inclusion in Switzerland. At the DisAbility Confidence Day Switzerland 2025, I had the pleasure of connecting and reconnecting with many professionals who share a strong commitment to advancing disability inclusion across their operations. A very diverse audience of about 100 attendees joined this event which was hosted by Johnson & Johnson in Zug and organized by MyAbility, on Nov 10th, 2025.

It was energizing to see proactive engagement and meaningful dialogue on accessibility, representation, and opportunity for people of all abilities.

I attended a session with a deep dive into the European Accessibility Act (EAA) which sets clear expectations for digital accessibility across products and services sold in the EU.

Is your organization EAA compliant?

A standout goosebumps moment was the heartfelt note from Kamila Ciok about moving beyond tick-box approaches to create genuine, barrier-free pathways for all talent. A powerful reminder that inclusion is about tangible impact, not just intentions.

Bruno Barth’s remarks on the upcoming Special Olympics World Winter Games in Switzerland in 2029 stood out, highlighting the societal benefits of inclusive sport and active community involvement. The events exemplify how accessibility and inclusion create tangible social value.

Attending the event with Christine Manger, a friend who strengthens disability inclusion through inclusive art design and communication was another highlight.

Last but not least, a shoutout goes to Benno Stäheli – 刘本诺 who owned the stage when he was singing Aladdin’s ”A whole new world”. In case you don’t know the lyrics….
A whole new world,
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we’re only dreaming

Anticipating a future in which inclusivity across all areas becomes the natural norm 💜
