SWONET – Swiss Women Networks – Business and Networking Day – April 26th, 2024

What an exciting day organized by SWONET – Swiss Women Networks at their Business and Networking Day with the theme ”Mind over Matter” last week. This year SWONET is celebrating their 10 years jubilary. This event brought together not just female but also male entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders from across Switzerland to connect, learn, and empower one another.

As SWONET stands for Swiss Women Networks, one of their key goals is also to bring women networks in Switzerland to one table. I therefore had the opportunity to attend this great Business and Networking Day as a representative of the women network WEConnect International.

On the day, one of the standout speakers was Dr. Barbara Studer, an accomplished entrepreneur and neuroscientist, who delved into the concept of “Mental Fitness” – the foundation for peak performance and overall well-being. Her insights on the science behind mindset and its impact on achievement left the audience energized and eager to apply her strategies. Next, Roger Basler de Roca captivated the crowd with his insights on “The Economy of Attention,” providing a fascinating look at the digital landscape and the latest trends shaping the business world. His engaging presentation challenged attendees to rethink how they navigate the ever-evolving digital environment.

The energy in the room reached new heights with the arrival of Monika Sattler, a successful entrepreneur and two-time cycling record holder. Sattler’s inspiring talk, “Why is Mindset the Key to Success?,” delved into the transformative power of a positive, resilient mindset, drawing from her own remarkable achievements.

The day’s lineup continued to impress with the arrival of Anna Jelen, a multitalented keynote speaker, artist, writer, and podcaster. Jelen’s captivating presentation, “Let’s Create Moments: Time Influences Mind and Matter,” explored the art of living in the present and harnessing the power of mindfulness.

The grand finale of the event was a dynamic and entertaining presentation by Monika Matschnig, an expert in body language and impact. Her engaging session, “Always. Everywhere. – That Requires Mind and Matter,” left the audience with a renewed understanding of the connection between physical presence and mental fortitude.

Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a masterclass in the art of empowering the mind and igniting the spirit. Find the full agenda and more information; https://businessandnetworkday.ch/

This day would not have been possible without the founder and president of the SWONET Foundation, Petra Rohner (see picture above). Petra’s commitment and dedication to strengthening collaboration and cooperation between the networks made this day possible.

The SWONET Foundation, based in Aarau, Switzerland, was established in 2014 after the SWONET network had grown steadily since the launch of the swonet.ch portal. Today, SWONET offers 190 women’s networks and 13 men’s organizations valuable support in terms of digital visibility and communication.

I also had my little fan moment when I met Mona Vetsch (middle) who led through the day. Mona is a Swiss Moderator, a super authentic and open personality with a huge heart. She is approachable and meets everyone without prejudice, which makes her not only one of my favorite but also one of the most popular moderators in Switzerland.
